Congrats on your purchase of 9HAUS Bi-LED Headlights! Connecting the Hi/Low Beams of your Bi-LEDs is exactly the same as all other headlights: just plug in the H4 plug to your car, or use the H5 adapters if your car has H5 plugs.
Connecting the Halo or Matrix DRLs is also very straightforward. We provide separate wiring for DRL so that you can connect them in any way to achieve the look and functionality you like.
Your headlights will come with two DRL drivers that connect to the DRL Driver Plugs behind each of the headlights, as shown below. It's best to connect the DRL drivers to your car before installing the headlights, so that you can plug in the DRL drivers at the same time you're plugging in the headlights.
The 3 wires that come out of the DRL drivers are:
Black: Ground
Red: (+) for White Halo LED
Yellow: (+) for Amber Halo LED
Most of our customers prefer to connect the White DRL to parking lights, so that DRL's can be turned on without turning on the headlights. The parking lights wires in the headlight bucket vary from model to model. The best approach is to find the Ground and connect it to the Black wire, and find the parking lights (+) and connect it to the Red wire. You can identify the wires by measuring the voltages with a multimeter. Amber DRL's can be connected to turn signals in the same way.
If you don't have parking lights wires in the headlight bucket, you can run a wire from the light housing below. Some of our customers prefer to install a separate switch and fuse. It's also possible splice directly into the headlight plugs, so that the DRL's turn on together with the headlights.
